Test includes a spectroscopic examination of the oil to determine the levels of metals, additives, and possibly coolant. The test will also measure viscosity and the percentage of solids in the oil. Other engine fluid analysis tests for diesel, gasoline, and engine coolant are also available.

The owner-operator Captain Michael Hughes, is a retired South Florida Firefighter/EMT of 25 years with 30 years of boating experience and knowledge. Mike is proficient in all aspects of the marine industry, from vessel design and construction to shipboard firefighting. He attended the Chapman School of Seamanship and obtained the Yacht and Small Craft Survey designation and is an ABYC Certified Advisor. Mike is also a member of the National Fire Protection Association. Mike attended the Chapman School of Seamanship, for the class for certification in The Fundamentals of the Damage and Claim Survey. Mike was a former member of the Fire Rescue Dive Rescue Team and is dry suit certified through Dive Rescue International. Mike has extensive knowledge of the inner workings on the many intricate systems that are onboard a vessel.
